28. Juli von Kirchhain nach Schwarzenburg / Tag 33

• Hitzerekord über Deutschland
• in Berlin war es das letzte Mal vor 103 Jahren so heiss wie heute
• es kühlt nicht mehr ab in den Nächten – im Zelt ist es zu heiss, draussen fressen einem die Mücken
• routiniert stehen wir um 05 Uhr auf und werden bereits von den ersten Mücken angefallen
• Stehfrüstück am Dreiländerhängereck – Deutschland, Österreich, Schweiz – Österreich kocht Kaffee, die Schweiz hat die Milch und Deutschland das biologische Müesli – geht doch
• Abritt 06 10 - es ist schon heiss
• um 08 Uhr erwartet uns ein Frühstück im Wald – die Mücken sind auch schon da
• bereits kurz nach 10 Uhr erreichen wir das Tagesziel
• schwere Gewitter werde prognostiziert
• der Gasthof wilder Eber stellt uns und den Mücken die Scheune zum Übernachten zur Verfügung- die  wir dann aber nich brauchen
• der schweizer Trosser – der eigentlich ein Hoteltyp ist – erobert sich ein Pensionszimmer – ein Bett, eine eigene Dusche und ein eigenes WC – manchmal sind grosse Wünsche einfach zu erfüllen

 

• Extreme heat temperatures in Germany.
• In Berlin it is 103 years ago that they had temperatures as high as today.
• At night it doesn’t become cooler anymore. In the tent it is too hot and outside the tent the mosquitoes are waiting for us in anticipation.
• As experienced as we are we get up at 5 o’clock in the morning and are already attacked by the first mosquitoes.
• We are eating breakfast while standing. We are in the region where the three countries Germany, Austria and Switzerland meet. Austria brews coffee, Switzerland provides the milk and Germany the bio-muesli. It did work out.
• We leave at 06.10 am and it is already hot.
• At 8 o’clock we eat breakfast in the wood and the mosquitoes are already waiting for us.
• Just before 10 o’clock we reach our aim of the day.
• A thunderstorm is gathering.
• The guest house “Wilder Eber” (The Wild Boar) offers us and the mosquitoes the barn to spend the night. But in the end we don’t need it.
• The helper of the Swiss group, who likes hotels actually better, gets a room in the guest house with a bed, his own shower and toilet. Sometimes big wishes are easy to realise.
